Huawei focusing on UAE Enterprise market and building partnerships in Kuwait
As part of its continued push into the Middle East enterprise market, Huawei announced a strategic partnership with technology reseller Enterprise Systems for distribution of its enterprise solutions in the UAE.
As a Value Added Partner (VAP) of Huawei, Enterprise Systems will distribute Huawei’s portfolio of vertical solutions focusing on the hospitality and public sectors, to customers across the UAE; the solutions cover IP network infrastructure, unified communications and collaboration, and innovations in cloud computing and data center management.
“As we continue our focus on developing innovative and competitive ICT products and solutions that provide a better way for enterprise customers to enhance efficiency, productivity and flexibility, we recognize that building a strong network of channel partners is crucial to ensuring long-term business success in the Middle East, which is a strategic market for Huawei Enterprise,” said ZhaoShuGang, Channel Director at Huawei Enterprise Middle East.
“Enterprise Systems has a distinguished track record of success in the UAE and brings a keen understanding of local market dynamics. We look forward to working closely with the team at Enterprise Systems to grow our business in the UAE and help our customers address their business challenges and needs with our products and solutions,” added Gang.
“Enterprise Systems has demonstrated its commitment to this partnership by assigning a dedicated team to Huawei and investing in their demo equipment. The breadth and depth of Huawei’s products and solutions will enable us to provide a unique technology proposition to our customers. We are very upbeat about this partnership and hope that today marks the start of a long-term and productive relationship,” Pouya Parsafar, Managing Director, Enterprise Systems, said.
The collaboration with Enterprise Systems is in keeping with Huawei’s ‘glocalization’ approach, which involves among other elements blending global best practices with local insights by partnering and sharing resources with local businesses.
Huawei works closely with its value-added partners and distributors at different levels to deliver the best products and solutions to customers and ensure ongoing support throughout the customer engagement lifecycle. The enterprise market is a core element of Huawei’s overall strategic development plans and the company now has a proven track record of providing competitive, cutting edge end-to-end products and solutions.
Having achieved steady business growth in 2012 recording global sales revenue of $35.35 billion, Huawei has forecasted a compound annual growth rate of 10 percent over the next five years and is looking to rapidly build its presence in fast-growing markets such as the Middle East to drive profitable growth and enhance its position in the global ICT landscape.
Kuwait public sector development
With the strong uptake of information and communications technology (ICT) fuelling Kuwait's economic development, Huawei joined with public sector leaders in November to preview a range of new e-government solutions aimed at supporting the expansion of secure and reliable online services for residents across the country.
The “E-government Forum: Recent Trends, Security Risks and Implementation Challenges” conference welcomed attendees to Kuwait in a three-day exploration of e-government solutions. Governments across the GCC are today ramping up their e-government services to meet the growing demands of residents for easy-to-use online applications that not only provide users greater accessibility to public services but enhance collaboration and efficiencies within the government sector. Guaranteeing the security of online information has become particularly important as e-government systems host an increasing number of payment and mobile applications across key industry verticals.
Connecting multiple government departments such as those responsible for education, public security, health, and civil affairs, Huawei collaborated with local partners to showcase an expanded portfolio of solutions including a bespoke e-Government Cloud Data Center, an e-Government Multilevel Access Solution, as well as Huawei’s latest e-Government Extranet for centralized management of communication and collaboration tools.
"Today Kuwait’s public sector is actively seeking to align people, processes, and policies so that residents have more accessible and secure ways to interact with the government online,” commented Mr. Terry He, General Manager of Huawei Kuwait. “Such e-government services are however, being influenced by key trends such as the rise in mobile penetration, more people bringing their own devices to the workplace, and the need to increase inter-department coordination. Forums like the E-government Forum are essential in sharing best practices and leveraging these ICT trends to create new opportunities for both the public sector and the population at large.”
Joe So, Vice President of Sales at Huawei Enterprise Middle East, spoke directly to this year’s conference attendees, participating in a series of discussions focusing on “Service-Oriented Government on the Cloud” during Day 2 and an in-depth review of “Huawei’s e-Government Cloud Data Center Solution” on Day 3 of the conference.
